"Paintings from the Deep Unknown" is a collection of visions from my meditations.
It's a journey of infinite trust, guided by immense curiosity, written on the canvases in the language I speak best - painting.
Like gifts, these paintings came to me fully formed, waiting to be loved into a physical form.
I know they're coming from a place of true love, a longing shared by many.
While we may catch glimpses of it here and there, every heart's deepest desire is to bathe in it with every cell of our being.
My deepest hope is for these pieces to transport you to that special space within, from where they traveled onto my canvases, allowing you to tap into the deep harmony they brought to me.
This piece is an ode to a gift that feels rare these days: the gift of active listening.
It was inspired by a heated argument with a friend—one that never turned into a fire. Instead of shutting down or pushing back, she kept her heart wide open and truly heard me. Her openness invited me to do the same. Her love reminded me that I am held, even when things feel messy.
So here I am, painting what I want to cultivate more of in my life: active listening to myself, the people I love, and the world around me.

This piece is one of the first attempts to portray how meditation feels using soft pastels as a medium. This medium never ceases to fascinate me. Meditation often feels like diving into the depths of the roaring ocean, leaving the familiar behind and opening to the unknown. And as I am free diving deeper and deeper, I am gently guided past the swirling layers of conditionings, past the false beliefs and stories I’ve been telling myself over and over again, past everything that I thought made up who I am… and straight to the truth of the Self that is always there waiting to be discovered, like a golden treasure hiding in the ocean’s depth.

This painting is made using the world’s blackest paint by Culture Hustle, a surreal velvety black that is almost impossible to translate in pictures and that is best experienced in person. It swallows the light like a hungry creature.
This painting started without a sketch, with no preparation or idea, but with a pitch-black canvas sitting in front of me. I was looking into its darkness and listening to what was arising in my heart. Stroke by stroke, I found a way to bring light out of it.
We often juxtapose light and dark. Dark is often perceived as something negative, something we need to get rid of. Light is perceived as hope, life, and good… but the more I think about it, the more I understand how interconnected they are.
How important it is to walk both, how impossible it is to truly appreciate light without walking through sorrow and learning to honor the heavy, learn from it, and allow all the colors of life to be present and cherished. Turbulent times shape us, allowing us to navigate the darkness with the light in our hearts. They teach us to live in the moment. They also might swallow us all if we lose hope—a fragile balance of light and dark.
This painting is a mirror to The Golden Thread II, and together, they make a whole, two opposite polarities that cannot exist without each other. They both started their existence straight onto the canvas. Each of them appeared at a perfect time, fulfilling the inner inquiries and closing the cycle while simultaneously opening a portal for something new.

I painted this little painting at my friend’s vineyard in Pula, Croatia. For me, this piece is about honoring your dreams. Many years ago my friend told me that one day he’ll grow his own grapes and olives. His apartment was always full of books about winemaking and olive oil production. And here I was, many moons later, standing at his land, surrounded by grapes with his olive oil groves basking in the sun nearby.
